One Room Challenge Week 2: Upscale Master Bedroom Refresh

Well this update is going to be short and sweet.

What I’m excited about right now is that the wallpaper is here!!

It’s gorgeous! Just look at it.

When I called to place the order the phone rep said she usually doesn’t like wallpaper but she loved this and I see why.

It goes perfectly with my blue walls too!

I’m not doing anything structurally here because I don’t plan on being here too much longer.

So the accent wall and ceiling moulding is it for now.

I am running through a few ideas of the final ceiling look because I don’t want it too busy but just enough to make a statement.

Here are some options I’m pondering over now…

I’m thinking to paint the moulding Dorian Gray in high gloss sheen. So it’s not too dark. It needs to complement and not compete with the accent wall. Too much??

So what’s come in from all of my ordering??

That glam ceiling fan has arrived! Still in the box so no pics to show just yet but it should be up by next week.

The area rug and accent chair are here too.

Sadly the lamps I thought would work I had to return. They weren’t the champagne gold color as I envisioned but more of a mother of pearl. Just a really interesting color, nice and high quality but wrong for the room.

The night stands I originally wanted are sold out. So sad and means I’m still on the hunt.

Last thing up is the bed arrived too!! Again still in the boxes. It’s going to take me a minute to breakdown my bed and get everything transported up and down 3 flights of stairs!

So what’s next?

We should have that ceiling fan up and ready to go along with the wallpaper. I hope to have the ceiling moulding complete too.

Finally, I’ll make up my mind about the custom drapes, nightstands and the cabinet that will be placed under the t.v. and get to ordering.
